Working in the Schools (WITS) creates positive learning communities through a portfolio of volunteer literacy mentorship programs and teacher professional development; a comprehensive design to inspire children’s passion for reading.
In 25 years WITS has grown to Serve 8,500 students in 91 Chicago public schools. WITS is tremendously indebted to the thousands of dedicated individuals, corporations, foundations, and community groups that have invested their time and resources to foster the love of reading in our youth.
