Autism spectrum disorder is a neurological condition that affects how individuals interact with others through verbal and non-verbal communication. It’s a condition related to brain development. Repetition in behavior is also a strong characteristic of the Autism spectrum. This disorder can present with a vast variety of severity and intensity of symptoms, and that’s why it’s referred to as a spectrum.
Helping children and their families cope with autism spectrum disorder is our goal this quarter as we raise support for the local non-profit Have Dreams. Raising a child with special needs can be challenging to a family’s mental well-being and financial situation. For families in our community who live with this reality, we want to be a ray of hope and comfort!
